Why I Created the CROWNed by Design Collective
I didn't create this community from theory. I created it from experience.
Over the years, I have walked through some of life's most difficult transitions—the loss of my daughter Jazmin, the end of a 30+ year marriage, becoming an empty nester, and navigating major career changes. Each season forced me to confront a question many women silently ask:
"Who am I now?"
When the roles you've carried for decades begin to change, it can feel like the foundation beneath you has shifted. The confidence you once had may seem distant. The future can feel uncertain. You may find yourself overwhelmed, comparing your journey to others, or simply trying to make it through another day while wondering what happened to the woman you used to be.
I've been there.
I know what it's like to sit in the silence of a new season, grieving what was while trying to discover what comes next. I know what it's like to feel stuck between the life you had and the life God is calling you toward.
But I also know this: your story is not over.
Through God's grace, I rebuilt my life, rediscovered my purpose, strengthened my finances, and learned how to embrace a new chapter with confidence and hope. That journey inspired me to create the CROWNed by Design Collective.
