Starting Over When Life Falls Apart [Podcast]
Podcast summary / show notes
What happens when the life you planned is no longer the life you're living? Divorce, grief, a career change, or an unexpected diagnosis can leave you wondering whether you have to start all over again.
But what if God isn't asking you to erase your history? What if He's asking you to build with what remains?
In this episode, Dr. Chonta Haynes uses the story of Ruth to explore the difference between carrying what still serves your purpose and releasing what belongs to a previous season. Drawing from her own experiences with the end of a long marriage and the loss of her daughter, she shares how God can bring purpose from painful experiences.
You'll also learn a simple two-column exercise:
-
CARRY: Your faith, strengths, skills, expertise, and the truths God has spoken over your life.
-
RELEASE: Expired identities, old timelines, expectations, rejection, and what no longer belongs in your next season.
Then, pray along as you ask God for the wisdom to recognize what stays, the courage to release what has ended, and the faith to build again.
Your history is material, not a verdict. Your season does not have to become your lifetime.
Action step: Write down one thing you will carry and one thing you will release. Share them in the comments or with your CROWNed by Design Collective community.
